Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV is an RTS where you control one of four factions from a top-down perspective. Each operates differently with unique units and abilities, but you can always expect to oversee the deployment of a lot of units to participate in large battles.
All four factions will receive their own campaign, amounting to over 70 missions. A highly customizable Skirmish mode boasts 30 maps and four battle types, while the horde-like Last Stand mode returns with a more RTS design. All of these are playable in co-op multiplayer, not to mention the expected competitive multiplayer modes as well.
What's the plot of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV?
This new entry is set 200 years after the first game and revolves around the planet Kronus. Longtime fans will recognize this as where the first game's Dark Crusade expansion took place. A massive war for the planet is happening between the Orks, Necrons, Space Marines, and Adeptus Mechanicus. Each campaign centers around one of these factions during the war, with choices you make affecting how the narrative unfolds and what missions you have access to.
