Developers Lesser Evil have proudly announced the launch of their official Kickstarter page for their upcoming title Death From Above. This game is focused on the Russian invasion of Ukraine and is offering backers exclusive access to the game's beta versions and other exciting rewards. The crowdfunding campaign will run until April 9th and they are just about halfway to their goal after only a couple of days.
The game itself is an arcade-style drone simulator game set during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. You will play as a Ukrainian military drone operator fighting the occupation, salvaging valuable equipment, and restoring communication lines disrupted by the conflict. The purpose of the Kickstarter campaign is to help the development team to collaborate with Ukrainian artists to enhance the game’s visuals, audio, and storyline. Additionally, further funding will help the game grow with features and content.
"We want to help the people affected by the Russian occupation, so we will be supporting Ukrainian artists by featuring their work in our game," said Hendrik Lesser, Game Director.
While the game is set against a real-life backdrop of the severe and tragic events still unfolding in the real world, it is still designed as an enjoyable, satirical experience for players. Death From Above will launch on PC via Steam’s Early Access sometime in Q2 2023
