"Feels" thriller Firewatch is getting a movie. THR reports that Good Universe and Campo Santo (creators of Firewatch) will be teaming up to adapt the film for the big screen. Campo Santo founder Sean Vanaman said the following about Good Universe...
“When we met Good Universe we were floored by how they recognize, cultivate and produce incredible stories. It's rare you meet another group that shares so many of your values and makes the process of creating things even more exciting. We can't wait to see what we make together,"
The game itself had some star power with Mad Men's Rich Sommer (Harry Crane) playing a fire lookout in the Wyoming wilderness.
Hopefully, the film adaptation sticks close to the game itself. I think the fact that Campo Santo is actually involved in the process is a good indicator the game won't stray too far from its roots.
