A couple of months ago, the first trailer for the upcoming game, Jurassic World: Evolution was announced. A lot of players, including myself, were excited with the news especially since it has been 15 years since Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis was released.
Now, a new video was released at the Frontier Expo 2017, which showed the first in-game footage of the upcoming park building sim. Jurassic World: Evolution is developed by Frontier, the studio behind famous titles such as Planet Coaster and Elite Dangerous, and will let players take the helm in managing their very own Jurassic World theme park. Players can expect to bioengineer new dinosaur breeds, build attractions, and entertain the tourists that will visit their park.
The developers of the game also released a content reveal video posted below, where they discuss the future of the games they’re working on, the gameplay in Jurassic World Evolution, some in-game screenshots and video.
The game is slated for release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in summer 2018 to complement the upcoming film, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. As a fan of Operation Genesis, I can’t wait for this game to be released. I’m also hoping for a Switch version to be announced as well.
