Fortnite has long teased a dedicated FPS-only mode, and it seems that the teaser was hinting at something to take on Valorant and CS2 style of gameplay. With the new game mode called Ballistic, players will emulate one of the oldest multiplayer FPS genres in gaming right in Fortnite.
The video shows details of a 5 V 5 first person shooter experience where teams will be tasked with either planting or defusing a bomb. All of this will be in a dedicated first-person perspective which will be a first for the title.
There is no news on when it launches, but the game will enter early access very soon and will feature only one map to start.
