As Valentine’s Day nears, it’s the season of love, and Fortnite is celebrating with the game’s first event of 2020—Love and War. Nothing says “I love you” like dropping onto an island of strangers and fighting to the death.

The special event will feature a limited-time mode called Search and Destroy that the Fortnite community made.

And it wouldn’t be Fortnite without the opportunity to earn new cosmetics and emotes. Love and War will feature new outfits, pickaxes, and more before the event ends on February 17th.

Search and Destroy will play like a classic Attack and Defend game, with an Epic Games touch. Teams of six players will drop in and play through up to seven rounds of mayhem. The first team to win four rounds will be declared the victor. Attackers have to destroy the bomb while the defenders have to protect it. Alternatively, players can just eliminate the enemy team. Teams earn gold for completing in-game objectives which can be used to purchase necessary equipment on the battlefield.
