A game that has gained popularity through a positive early access that originally released on Steam in October 2020, Second Extinction is ready to expand its horizons. Systemic Reaction is launching their game on April 28th to Xbox One and Xbox Series via the Xbox Game Pass. This release will bring all the content currently available on the Steam Early Access version of the game to Xbox users.
Players are pitted in teams of up to three players against swarms of bloodthirsty dinos in fast-paced battles across Earth’s post-apocalyptic wastelands. Squad up with a range of powerful weapons and fight on your own or with friends against monstrous dinosaurs long thought extinct, but are now mutated and deadlier than ever! The War Effort is Second Extinction’s community-driven global metagame: by completing missions and activities around the world, you’ll directly impact the threat level and challenges players face.
Since the game’s release, it has grown through frequent content updates guided by community feedback, introducing new weapons, challenges, dino mutations, War Effort emergence events, gameplay improvements, and more. As the game continues to grow on Steam, it will grow on Xbox. Now, the community of players delivering feedback to improve the game is going to expand, so this increases the chance of the final version of the game being a great one.
