Tolkien’s Middle-Earth is the pinnacle of fantasy worlds, and Free League Publishing has announced a partnership with Sophisticated Games that will bring Middle-Earth RPGs to the table.
Francesco Nepitello will continue to be the lead designer for the roleplaying games, but Free League Publishing will bring its storied record of RPG design and production to the partnership.
Statements from both parties shared their excitement for the partnership and enthusiasm for the source material. Tolkien built an enduring fantasy legacy, and we can’t wait to see what Free League Publishing and Sophisticated Games builds together.
The agreement between both creative companies will go into effect starting June 1st, 2020. Products and release dates will be announced at a later time, and GameTyrant will update its tabletop news coverage with any RPG news in the future.
