Independent game developer and publisher Playwing announced this week that in partnership with Microsoft they would bring their free-to-play dragon rider Century: Age of Ashes to Xbox consoles. The popular aerial combat game launched late last year after two closed betas. In the game, players take control of one of three classes of dragon riders as they compete in one of three game modes.
The move to Xbox consoles so quickly after release is a testament to the popularity and quality of the game itself, which already has more than one million Steam downloads. Laurent Denis, the head of Product Marketing for Playwing, had this to say:
“It’s a great joy for us to see Century: Age of Ashes spread its wings for the very first time on next-generation consoles. Players will roar with excitement as they experience the rush of dragon-riding with the full power of Xbox Series X|S and battle it out against existing players all around the world.”
Century: Age of Ashes is available on Steam and is out now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Xbox GamePass Ultimate subscribers will unlock the Hjørrani Savannah dragon bundle as part of their perks.
