To promote Gears of War esports and the upcoming release of Gears 5, The Coalition and ELEAGUE have partnered up to produce a docu-series that will spotlight pro Gears of War players, as they train for, and compete in the upcoming title. Six, hour-long episodes will be produced, and will air on TBS every Friday leading up to the Gears Summer Series tournament on July 13-14. The final two episodes of the series will focus on key moments from this tournament, where eight teams will compete against eachother in Gears 5, for the very first time.
Shortly after the tournament, there will be a Gears 5 multiplayer tech test on July 17. The Coalition will debut Horde mode gameplay at Gamescom a month after in August. Finally, Gears 5 releases on September 10, or four days earlier if you own the ultimate edition.
