Believe it or not, Japan still has a lot of arcades that are thriving. We always hear about this, and when it comes to Japanese culture, I'm always wondering just how prevalent this "weird" culture is. Part of me wonders if all these people are doing the equivalent of foreigners going to New Orleans French Quarter and reporting "this is America". Sure it's technically America, but it's not representative of the whole nation.
