The Smurfs are returning to gaming platforms this October 25th with The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf! The game is being developed by OSome Studio, who are known for their work on Asterix & Obelix XXL Remastered and Asterix & Obelix XXL 3: The Crystal Menhir. The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf is a 3D platform/adventure game set in the iconic world we all know and love from The Smurfs TV series. We’ll see the forest, the swamp, and Gargamel’s lab, just to name a few.
The story will follow the Smurfs as they once again try to thwart the evil wizard Gargamel’s plans. This time, he’s concocting a new wicked plant called Vileaf. Its reason for being created; to trap the Smurfs in its Viletrap seeds. There are more complications stemming from his new creation though so the Smurfs are in for quite a fight. Players will get the chance to take control of Hefty, Smurfette, Brainy, and Chef as they carry out Papa Smurf’s plan to create an antidote with ingredients from around their world. I’m a big fan of The Smurfs so I’m interested in seeing how the game is ultimately handled.
The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf will launch on October 25 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
