The results are in and the players have spoken, Sucker Punch’s breathtaking, Ghost of Tsushima has won the Player’s Voice award for The Game Awards 2020. This award was voted on 100% by fans and slipped by it’s strongest competitor, The Last of Us: Part II. When I played it this past summer, it honestly took my breath away in many aspects. The visuals, sound, and story all blend together into what can only be described as one of the best games of the decade. It both offered immersive gameplay and an in-depth look into the Japanese culture. It’s pretty unanimous around the internet that this has not only been a favorite among critics but obviously fans as well.
As always, The Game Awards is hosted by gaming’s favorite personality, Geoff Keighley, and takes place this Thursday (December 10th) at 6:30 PM EST. This show will be streamed on all major streaming websites such as Youtube and Twitch. There has been a long star-studded list of award presenters announced for this year’s event. Names such as Brie Larson, Christopher Nolan, Gal Gadot, and Tom Holland have all been announced so far as well as a bunch of others. The names keep rolling in and will continue to do so until the day of the event. We’ll continue to cover all of the major announcements surrounding The Game Awards as they reveal themselves!
