Magic Design Studios and Gearbox Publishing have officially given us a release date for the finished version of their upcoming action roguelike title Have A Nice Death. As part of the last Nintendo Indie Showcase, this game won’t just be leaving early access on Steam but it will also be coming to the Nintendo Switch! Regarding the release date announcement and the addition of the Nintendo Switch platform, Simon Dutertre, Lead Game Designer at Magic Design Studios, stated:
“To bring Have a Nice Death to Nintendo Switch has been the number one request from our community, and we’re thrilled to finally have announced this news with Nintendo through today’s Indie World showcase. We’ve poured our heart and soul (and a lot of coffee) into this new adventure and we can’t wait to release the full game this March. We thank our PC fans who have been playing Have a Nice Death in Early Access and providing much valuable feedback. We hear you and keep it up! For our future Nintendo Switch players, we can’t wait for you to join us in Death Incorporated!”
After getting my own first impression of the game when it first launched into Early Access on Steam, along with the interesting interview I had with the developers, I have been looking forward to seeing what the finished version of the game would entail. Of course, it will include all of the delightfully morbid content, including content from previous major updates that fans have loved in the Early Access version of the game.
Additionally, it will introduce a haul of new features, including one new world filled with new bosses, mini-bosses, and enemies, along with new story content that will bring the epic conclusion of the main storyline. Players may also find new clues about the culprit behind all of Death's woes. Best of all, mortals who have played the Early Access version will be able to use their save file(s) for the 1.0 release of the game.
Have A Nice Death is set to release on March 22, 2023, for PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch. PC players can get in on the action now through Steam’s Early Access. Those looking to get this game on the Nintendo Switch can pre-order the game today at the discounted price of $19.99 USD.
