2020 will bring us Greak: Memories of Azur and the Courine siblings. The side-scrolling adventure adds its own twist to the genre by allowing you to shift between the three protagonists while exploring the world. It’s not just an option. It’s a requirement to fully navigate the challenges of the environment and the enemies that the Courine trio will face on their quest. The idea of controlling multiple characters intrigues us and Greak: Memories of Azur looks like it could be an indie hit in the making.
The world of Greak is a perilous one. You start off as the youngest brother of the three and you must connect with your siblings. The Courine are a race of magical beings and they’re at war with the Urlag. This conflict has been raging, forcing many to flee, so you must escape with your lives.
Navegante is a small studio and this is their first project, but that hasn’t stopped them from debuting with an appealing concept and a beautiful-looking game. The art style is very pretty and it follows in the footsteps of gorgeous indie side-scrollers. There is no specific release date yet, but if we’re lucky it will be in the first half of next year.
