Putting players in a beautiful setting with a variety of seemingly friendly creatures is the development team at Dimfrost Studio and publishers Merge Games. Originally announced back during E3 2021, Bramble: The Mountain King is a grim adventure set in a world inspired by dark, Nordic fables.
In this game, players will explore the beautiful yet dangerous and twisted land of Bramble in their endeavor to rescue their sister. Traverse a wondrous landscape and survive deadly encounters with Bramble's many hideous creatures. The first one players will meet is the Skogsrå, a creature known in Swedish folklore as a charming and beautiful woman with the power to drive men mad with her seductive and vengeful tactics.
To best show off the Skogsrå, they have released a new animated trailer exploring the history and folklore behind the creature. This trailer is just the latest in the animated video series called Bramble: Origins which covers the various creatures the game will feature. In fact, their first video in the series featured The Näcken, which is the creature players will meet in the free demo this Halloween!
Bramble: The Mountain King is set to release sometime in 2023, but as a Halloween special, they are releasing a free demo on Steam which will feature one level in the game. Are you excited to get your first hands-on experience with this game?
