From now until April 28th, Gears 5 players can earn the “Thrashball Cole” character skin by winning 25 rounds of the brand new Gridiron game-mode introduced with Operation 3. Speaking of Gridiron, the ranked variation of the new mode recently launched earlier this week on Tuesday, and brought with it a bug related to the in-game ranking system.
Many cases saw users being placed into Masters rank Tier when finishing their placements, even if they were clearly not supposed to be there. In order to maintain the integrity of the ranks in Gridiron, and to make sure everyone is where they are supposed to be, everyone who has earned a rank in Gridiron has been reset to the Bronze Tier.
Although this may frustrate some players right now, they will eventually be put in the proper ranking Tier, as their behind the scenes skill rating has been unaffected. A tuning update was also released in Gears 5 today, mainly focusing on the Gnasher shotgun, and Lancer assault rifle. A detailed list of the changes to the weapons can be found here.
