During The Game Awards 2019 we were given a multitude of world premiers. While each reveal had their own style and focus, Amplitude Studios and their publisher SEGA announced their next upcoming title Humankind, one of the first strategy titles to compete with the popular Civilization series. Although it isn’t set to launch on Steam until sometime in 2020, there are a few distinct differences that they offer from their competitors.
In this version of humanity’s growth, you will get to decide multiple factors that will either benefit or harm the overall population and civilization. Using your knowledge of history and the growth of the world we live in today, you will get to pick a leader and build the world in the way that you see as the most fitting. The entirety of Humankind rests within your decisions and it will be up to you to push the human race as far forward into the future as possible! It will be a mixture of your culture, history, and values that allow you to create a civilization that is as unique as you are.
