If you've played the first two Little Nightmares games, you're likely eagerly anticipating Little Nightmares III. Over the weekend, Bandai Namco showcased a few of their upcoming titles, including a demo of Little Nightmares III. Attendees who waited in line on the show floor got a chance to play a single-player demo of the Necropolis level, where the second character is controlled by AI. However, I had the opportunity to try out the multiplayer mode, playing through the Candy Factory level, which truly highlighted the grotesque and intricate level design that the series is known for.
In Little Nightmares III, each character has unique abilities that are essential for progressing through the game, making it a richer experience in multiplayer mode. While it's still enjoyable as a single-player game, I found the experience more engaging with a partner, especially with the ability to communicate and strategize together. And if you're worried about convincing your friends to buy the game, there's good news: Little Nightmares III will include a buddy pass, so only one of you needs to own the game to play it together.
As a fan of Little Nightmares 1 & 2, I loved what I saw in the third installment. The Candy Factory level I played showcased the series' signature trial-and-error gameplay, with each room presenting a puzzle that challenges your critical thinking. Based on what I experienced, I can't wait for the full game to release.
