ICYMI: Here's Everything That Was Announced At The 2024 Game Awards

Couldn’t catch the 2024 Game Awards live? No problem! Here’s a complete look at all the games unveiled during the show, along with my thoughts on the biggest surprises, boldest ideas, and most exciting trailers of the night.

During the Preshow

Ninja Gaiden Ragebound - The animation in the trailer was absolutely epic, so when it came to a platformer I was a little disappointed.

One Move Away - This game looks insanely cozy, like Tetris but chill and I can see people losing their hours in this game.

Slay the Spire 2 - Just like Sydnee Goodman said during the show, some poeple just got over their addition to the first Slay the Spire, but I’m glad to see this series continue.

Dave the Diver In The Jungle - Honestly, Dave the Diver can do no wrong, give me more.

Thick As Thieves - This game is either going to be really fun, or it will flop on lauch, there’s not really an inbetween.

Shadow Labyrinth - WTF HAPPENED TO PACMAN???

Steel Paws - If the creator of Virtua Fighter made it, I’m sure it will have legs.

Stalcraft: X Operations - The character designs in this game are pretty weird, especially for it being first person.

Midnight Murder Club (Crossplay beta) - This game looks fun, but it fall under the Among Us umbrella, so we’ll see what it does to have some lasting power.

Kyora - Give me this now! An upgraded version of Terraria from the creators of Core Keeper, I am more than sold.

Rematch - From the creators of Sifu we get, that’s right you guessed it, a soccer game! All jokes aside, this game actually looks like a ton of fun.

Solasta 2 - I never played the first Solasta, but this game looks interesting. It definitely is going up against some HUGE competition with Baldur’s Gate 3.

Main Show Announcements

The Witcher 4 - After many many years, it’s finally here! The Witcher 4, HOLY CRAP! I am unbelievably hyped.

Elden Ring Night Reign - I don’t play Fromsoft games, but I know Elden Ring was an amazing game. But it sounds like Night Reign has some mixed reviews upon the reveal.

Catly - This game looks adorable, I am interested in seeing some gameplay and where this game can go. (Cat games have been killing it lately.)

Untitled Fumited Ueda / GenDesign - From the creators of Shadow of Colossus, their games are epic and this game seems no different.

Outer Worlds 2 - In my opinion, I am burnt out from this style of game. The first Outer Worlds did absolutely nothing for me to believe it needed a second, but for fans of the series, here you go.

Split Fiction - Let me follow in Josef Fares’ footsteps and saying HOLY F***ING S**T!!! Anything the creators of It Takes Two put out is bound to be gold. And this game looks absolutely stunning.

Killing Floor 3 - I feel like I’ve been waiting on this game forever, so it’s nice to finally see it’s almost here. However, I do feel I have been waiting too long and I’m worried it won’t be worth the wait.

Steel Hunters - You’re telling me this isn’t Titanfall 3?

The Long Dark II: Blackfrost - This game looks beautiful, but I found the first game to be a drag (I’m sorry for the hot take.)

Borderlands 4 - BOOOOOOO GET OUT! Just kidding, I wasn’t a fan of Borderlands 3 but if Borderlands 4 can make up for it then I’m here for it.

Tekken 8: Clive Rosfield (Final Fantasy XVI) - WOAHHH YEAH!! I wasn’t expecting any collabs for Tekken 8 but they’ve done them in the past and Clive Rosfield is a badass addition to an already badass game.

Splitgate 2 - The first Splitgate was a fun silly game to play once every couple of months, so I’m fine with doing the same with Splitgate 2.

Virtua Fighter - YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!?!?! Remember when I said anything the creators of Virtua Fighter put out will be good? HOW ABOUT ANOTHER VIRTUA FIGHTER?!?!?! WOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Project Century - Every time I see one of these games, I tell myself I need to play it but I never end up playing it. Maybe this will be the one.

Turok Origins - A new Turok was not on my bingo card for 2024 but I’m here for it.

Helldivers 2 Illuminate Reveal - Helldivers 2 has had amazing support. The updates feel like they’re telling a story and this addition adds a huge part of that story.

Warframe 1999 - This game has had huge support over the years, I’m not a fan of the gameplay style but this update looks sweet.

Palworld (Feybreak update) - I want to see this game getting constant updates. Palworld is so fun, and I want to see it succeed despite its haters (Nintendo).

Onimusha: Way of the Sword - I’m unfamiliar with the series but this game looks like it has some great design to it.

The First Berserker: Khazan - I feel like I’ve been hearing about this game forever now, but the wait is finally almost over. This trailer was absolutely brutal and it was awesome, so I’m ready for it. However, I do wish there was some gameplay revealed.

Dungeon Fighter: Arad - This just looks like it’s going to be in the same boat as every other free to play mobile gacha game unfortunately.

Dying Light: The Beast - Holy cow, this game looks killer, the night looks terrifying and the parkour looks as fun as ever. Summer 2025 can’t come soon enough.

Post Malone’s Murder Circus Hunt Showdown: 1896 - What conversation happened for this to happen? I’m glad Post Malone didn’t just do the same thing other celebrities are doing by being in Fortnite but Hunt Showdown: 1896 was the last game I expected to have a celebrity collab.

Squid Game Unleashed - It’s about time there’s an official Squid Game video game.

Stage Fright - OVERCOOKED MENTIONED LETS GOOOOOOO! I would’ve been more than happy with Overcooked 3 but this game looks like it will be so fun.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad - I’m not too sure about this game. An actual Game of Thrones RPG would slap, but seeing a Netmarble website attached to it at the end, it’ll likely be a turn based mobile game.

Double Dragon Revive - I mean, yeah why not, cool. (My literal reaction)

Solo Leveling: ARISE - I’m not familiar with this series but the animation in the trailer was pretty cool.

Screamer - Racing games from the 90s are the absolute PEAK of racing games. Pair that with Troy Baker and we’re in for one hell of a ride.

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered - TLOU Part 2 On PC Let’s go!! (Remasters have been blowing chunks lately though, not you Silent Hill 2 You’re great.)

Den of Wolves - I put a good amount of hours into Payday 2, and GTFO is a really fun game as well. So i’m excited to see what 10 Chambers has to offer in this game.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds - This trailer just made me think of how long it’s been since the last Sonic Racing game.

Mafia: Old Country - FINALLY!! I’VE BEEN WAITING ALMOST 10 YEARS FOR A NEW MAFIA GAME!!

Infinity Nikki - I mean, come on this game looks adorable.

Dispatch - Jesse Pinkman is that you???? This game looks awesome, the animation is a huge win and from what was shown in the trailer it looks hilarious.

Crimson Desert - This game looks absolutely massive, and it looks beautiful.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet - No gameplay, but I like the vibe, I’m happy to see what Naughty Dog has to offer.
