Nintendo closed their Indie World Showcase this past week with the announcement that OMOCAT, LLC’s acclaimed indie title, Omori would be coming to the Switch! Releasing in spring 2022, Switch players can expect all of what makes Omori so great, right in the palm of their hands.
Players will explore the game’s strange yet colorful world and its inhabitants both friendly and not so much. Along its duration, you’ll find the secrets to a forgotten past and bring it back to the surface. The title’s story hinges on the choices you make throughout it, with those choices determining your fate and possibly the fates of those around you.
The title isn’t shy about its use of heavy subject matter such as anxiety, depression, and even suicide. It’s a mature tale that uses colorful worlds and adult themes to deliver a story unlike any other.
While I haven’t played it on PC, I cannot wait to dip my toes in once it releases on the Switch. It’s a really intriguing title with the subject matter at hand and its gorgeous visual art style.
Omori is available now on PC and will release for Nintendo Switch in early 2022.
