Voidpoint and 3D Realms are teaming up to take us back to 1996 with Ion Maiden a shooter built in the Build Engine. Oh wait, the game is called Ion Fury now since the band Iron Maiden thought it sounded to similar to their name… different industries guys! anyways, Ion Fury is sure to pull at the nostalgia strings for anyone who enjoyed classics like Duke Nukem 3D back in the day. From the images and gameplay videos the Build Engine has never looked so good!
Ion Fury entered Early Access on Steam back in February of this year where anyone who picked it up was given immediate access to an exclusive chapter for the game. If you still want to get this chapter you have only today left to do so as the full launch of Ion Fury happens tomorrow August 15! I for one can’t wait to dive in and see just how well a Build Engine title runs in 2019. Ion Fury is currently available to purchase on Steam Early Access for $24.99.
