John Wick Hex is not what you’d expect for a video game adaptation of the absurdly-popular John Wick movies. It’s not a first person shooter. It’s not a AAA studio with a massive development team. It’s created by John Bithell, an indie designer who has produced a fascinating take on the inimitable John Wick.
A top-down view and strategic formula will make you move like Baba Yaga and think like the most dangerous man in New York. It’s not running and gunning. It’s not pulling the trigger. John Wick Hex looks methodical and clever, and that ingenuity is what will really make you feel like you are The Boogeyman.
Ian McShane and Lance Reddick reprise their roles and the spectacular Troy Baker features as the mysterious villain Hex. The game releases on October 8th, and it will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store.
