Attention Duelists!! The Yu-Gi-Oh card game is about to change again! To coincide with the release of the upcoming series, Yu-Gi-Oh Sevens (The seventh official Yu-Gi-Oh series), Konami has announced new revisions to the game in the form of Master Rules (which is unofficially being referred to as “Master Rule 5” by some fans as to not confuse it with past updates).
The new format is as follows: Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz monsters can be special summoned into the Main Monster Zones rather than having to be Special Summoned in the Extra Monster Zone. The card being played in the Extra Monster Zone will be done at the player’s discretion.
Please note that this rule does not apply to Pendulum and Link monsters. The Master Rules go into effect on April 1st, 2020. This is not an early April Fool’s joke! Will your deck be ready?
