Game publisher Another Indie has announced a new survival-horror title called Lamentum (developed by Obscure Tales. The story centers around a young noble couple named Victor and Alissa as they search for a cure to Alissa's disease. Set in the 19th century in the New England estate of Grau Hill Mansion, Victor will push himself through a dreaded hellscape to save the woman he loves.
The game is quoted as “a deliciously dark, survival horror” drawing a haunted mansion vibe. The environment drips with blood and horrible monstrous creatures lurk around every corner. As Victor, you will use everything you can to survive against this never-ending nightmare. Every decision and action Victor makes determines the course of events that will unfold. Not every ending is a happy one.
The game is set for a 2021 release date and will be available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. While no official release date is known, you can play a demo for it on Steam.
