Continuing from the classic 1999 title Slave Zero, publisher Ziggurat Interactive has teamed up with developers Poppy Works to create Slave Zero X. This side-scrolling action title has revealed some popular voice actors that is sure to catch the attention of many players.
First, we have SungWon Cho, known for his viral social media voice-acting videos and iconic games like God of War: Ragnarök and Yakuza: Like a Dragon. He will be voicing the character Hercules J. Thorman, the first member of the Five Calamities.
Then, we have Anjali Kunapaneni, known for their roles in the hugely popular Tiny Tina’s Wonderland, Apex Legends, and Pokémon. They will be voicing the character Ayesha, a 19-year-old thief and citizen of the Megacity.
Slave Zero X is the newest title in the classic Dreamcast Slave Zero franchise and it will bring a whole new side-scrolling hack-and-slash experience to fans of the original game. While providing a satisfyingly punishing experience, players don a death-dealing bio-suit to do battle against the violent forces of the tyrannical SovKhan. Featuring multiple gameplay modes and a variety of futuristic 2.5D dystopian urban levels to battle through, players will string together brutal combos and fight through waves of genetically enhanced biopunk opponents — all to the tune of a gnarly synth soundtrack.
Slave Zero X doesn’t have a release date yet, but it is set to launch on PC via Steam and GOG.
