Taking the concept of the secret cow level from Diablo II and making a challenging Metroidvania title around it is something I don’t think I saw being taken seriously. Yet indie developers The Sixth Hammer have been pushing their game Moo Lander to where it is about to launch on multiple platforms. I did try this game out myself a few years back and it did leave an interesting first impression, so it is great to see they kept it in development this whole time.
Players take the controls of their own flying saucer as they head into a world with over 20 Mighty Cows, each with their own unique abilities and personalities. But with the growing scarcity of the milk that reigns as the supreme energy source, possessing a power second only to the stellar explosions of a dying star, you can’t give up! You must find an ancient device capable of producing infinite quantities of milk, given the rumors are true.
Moo Lander is a game with a silly premise, real story, and a beautifully handcrafted world. Players will be able to take off on May 27th when the game launches on PC via Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles, with plans to come to the Nintendo Switch at a later date. If you’re interested in this game, there is a free demo on both Steam and Xbox for you to try out today.
