Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment just announced today the characters that will be available on the new DLC for Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2. The new expansion is called “Champions” and will become available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which will introduce eight new characters to the game.
The new DLC is based on the Champions team from the popular Marvel comic book series. Players will get the chance to “unleash the limitless strength of Amadeus Cho and supersonic flight of Nova”. The DLC will also include Ironheart, Devil Dinosaur, Moon Girl, Viv, Wasp (Nadia Pym), and Hawkeye (Kate Bishop), which increases the main game’s roster of 200 heroes and villains.
“The Champions are a group of teenage Super Heroes started by three Avengers disillusioned by the behaviour of their elders and the general state of distrust by the people towards super-powered beings. Eager to show the world what it truly means to be a Super Hero, they formed their own team and soon recruited other teenagers with similar ideals to their cause. Together they are determined to change the world their own way!”
The DLC pack can be purchased separately for $1.99, or as part of the Season Pass, that would also provide players access to six Level Packs and four Character Packs that would include the previously released Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and the Out of Time and Agents of Atlas Character Packs. You can purchase the Season Pass for $14.99 or as part of the Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 Deluxe Edition that includes the main game, the Classic Guardians of the Galaxy Character Pack, and an exclusive Giant-Man LEGO Minifigure, if you get the physical version of the Deluxe Edition.
