Mass Effect: Andromeda will not have a season pass...but that doesn't mean free DLC necessarily. Bioware GM Aaryn Flynn responded to a Twitter user (via VG247) confirming the news...

When further pressed as to what that meant in terms of DLC or additions for the game he responded "We'll talk more about that later". I'm going to say flat out I don't believe that Mass Effect: Andromeda will have free DLC at least in terms of the campaign. Personally, I think a lot of gaming companies are just seeing that "season pass" sales aren't that profitable in the long run. You're offering a lifetime of DLC for a low entry price at launch and if you either deliver well beyond what you've netted in profit or you deliver too little and piss off your fans. Neither option seems to attractive for your PR team.
So while it is news that we won't have to take some gamble on a season pass...don't put too much stock into this news really meaning much more else than that.
