Revealing that the beloved and perverted character from the DragonBall anime series, Master Roshi, is the third to join DragonBall FighterZ character roster through the Season 3 Pass isn’t the only news that Bandai Namco has in store for this time. Along with giving us a quick gameplay reveal for a character that I have been waiting to see join the game for a while now, there’s some news on how they plan to end the 2020 eSports for the game.
Next month, in September 2020, they will be announcing the names of the competitors who will be invited to compete in the DragonBall FighterZ National Tournament’s regional tournaments. From there, we will see contenders face-off from October to November in tournaments that will be held in France, Spain, Japan, and in the US West & US East as they try to land a spot in the series finals. Then, in December 2020, winners from each of these regional championships will compete in the official DragonBall FighterZ National Championship until we have a grand champion!
All fights throughout the tournament, from the beginning in October to the finale in December, will be live-streamed on both Twitch and YouTube. So, it’s looking like September will be a big month for the DragonBall FighterZ scene! We get to play as the man who trained Goku, Gohan, Krillin, and Yamcha and took part in the Tournament of Power, plus the official eSport scene will have the competitors announced.
