Racing games all like to offer their own unique way to handle and manage the different car varieties they offer. Bringing the ability to drift to the easiest, most controlled style is Level 91 Entertainment with their upcoming drift racing game Inertial Drift. Teaming up with Pqube, they will be bringing this unique twin-stick drifting title to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in Spring 2020.
Overall, the goal of having the controls set up with twin-stick drifting is to give the player the most control over their vehicle during the race. Not only that, but all 16 characters and their cars will have a unique driving style. Tie all that together with the fact that you have up to 20 tracks, flooded by the lights of pink Japanese sunset and vibrant neon-cities, to race through. While there is sure to be plenty of chances to fly through these tracks solo, one of the main modes you can look forward to is the 1-on-1 races, giving you a chance to become a dominating racer and create rivals as the intensity of your close races pump your adrenaline.
We still have some time before we get to sit in the driver seat of this one, but it does sound pretty awesome. Even the trailer shows off how the twin-stick can be utilized to pull off some serious drift moves. Check this out:
