GameTyrant is proud to announce that tournament organizer and Super Smash Brothers Melee pro MattDotZeb will be running the Melee tournament for the upcoming Gametyrant Expo. Matt has been in eSports since 2005, and is now working in coordination with Smash.gg. Matt is also the co-founder of Big Blue e-Sports, who is responsible for running weekly, regional and international events with their most notable event being Shine.
On the competitive side, MattDotZeb is widely regarded as one of the best Falco mains in Super Smash Bros. Melee. He holds a competitive record of 1-0 over top Smash player Leffen, and has been notable for consistently taking out big names in the Smash scene throughout his career.
The GameTyrant Expo will take place September 29th-October 1st at the Vivint Home Arena (home of the Utah Jazz). The eSports tourney will feature a 25k pot bonus for Super Smash Bros Melee as well as a separate $25k pot bonus for Super Smash Bros 4. There will also be a $25k amateur CS:GO invitational as well.
