Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios are gearing up for the Dead Island 2 launch this April and they are rolling out some new character trailers for the playable Slayers. First up is Ryan, the exotic dancer turned zombie slayer in the streets of L.A. It seems like each Slayer will have their own unique skills that will help them fend off the undead horde. Ryan seems like a force to be reckoned with, providing powerful melee attacks.
Ryan has the ability of Retaliation which gives him a moderate force boost when using block or dodge to avoid an attack. This seems like Ryan will be used to get up close and personal with the infected to pull off some major combo chains while slaying in the great city of Los Angeles. His other skill, Seesaw, allows Ryan to regain health each time he knocks down a zombie. I can see Ryan being a crowd favorite for the brawler types.
The trailer also shows off some very short clips of new gameplay, continuing to showcase the fantastic physics and zombie animations. It would seem that after all of these delays, Dead Island 2 is shaping up to be a well-oiled machine of zombie-slaying madness. Let's hope this stays true at launch.
