UPDATE: Deep Silver has released a statement saying that while there is a new Metro game on the way, and that 2017 is not the official release date. That's not to say the game won't release in 2017, just that Deep Silver hasn't worked out when the game will release
It looks like we are getting at least one more game in the Metro series. The announcement was made on the official website after a passage from the final book, Metro 2035, was teased in English. For those who don't know, the Metro series was first a book written in 2002 by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky. No real info was made regarding the game except this statement from the website (via RPS)...
“It all adds up to something. Where the books end their story, the game will pick it up. An era of great discoveries lies ahead…”
Metro 2035 follows the events directly following Metro: Last Light and the same characters. With this game taking place directly after the book events, it's hard to say what it will cover without spoiling yourself on the book (book available in Polish and Russian...English release this December).
Personally I've never played the series, but I am curious to read the books now. Can anyone on here vouch for them?
