Kicking off their celebration of the Syberia series’ 20th Anniversary, Microids put together the special trailer above that shows bits of the story’s key moments and thanks the players. But a ‘thank you’ trailer is only the start, as they have also announced the Syberia: The World Before Collector’s Edition and the opening of Microids Backstage!
Microids Backstage is a behind-the-scenes blog dedicated to all projects in development. Here, interested players and readers will regularly be offered sneak peaks, interviews, and exclusive content. Paying tribute to the Syberia saga, the first blog post focuses on this cult video game IP.
As for the Syberia: The World Before Collector’s Edition, it is set to release in November 2022 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This release will be simultaneous with a standard physical edition of the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Collector’s Edition will include:
The game
A steelbook
An adjustable figurine representing Kate & Dana (three configurations)
An artbook
A music box
A map of Vaghen
An exclusive lithograph
A keychain
A postcard set
The digital script of the game’s prologue
The digital version of the game’s soundtrack
A collector’s box
Those who are interested in the Syberia: The World Before Collector’s Edition, but would prefer it on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch instead will have to wait for those platforms release in 2023. Of course, if you just wanted to get the latest chapter in the series digitally, it is available now on PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store.
