With the successful launch of the Sunbreak DLC earlier this year, Capcom has announced that they are bringing Monster Hunter Rise to more players by opening the gates of Kamura Village to Xbox and PlayStation players. While it doesn’t seem that the Sunbreak DLC will be transferred over at the same time as the base games launch, new players can look forward to enjoying this series for what it’s known for; a trademark action RPG gameplay, exciting new features, and ongoing free post-launch support.
The latest installment in the action RPG series and transports players to Kamura Village, a colorful and tranquil setting that attracts visitors with its unique culture and innovative hunting technologies. Hunters must equip their armor and select from one of the 14 different weapon types to tackle daunting foes. As players defeat monsters and progress through the game, items carved from fallen foes can be used to craft unique weapons and armor that increase their chances of survival. Hunters can tackle these challenges solo, or with up to three other hunters in cooperative online play.
For those looking forward to playing on their next-gen consoles, the game features customizable optimizations, allowing hunters to enjoy their journey in 4K resolution and 60 FPS while also offering 3D audio for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Ranged and shielded weapons will also make use of DualSense adaptive triggers on PlayStation 5.
Monster Hunter Rise is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on January 20, 2023. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass for console, PC, and cloud at launch. You can claim your copy today by pre-ordering the title on your console’s eshop. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will become available in Spring 2023.
