It has been announced that Marvel’s Avengers will be led by Kamala Kahn (a.k.a. Ms. Marvel). Kamala will act as the main player protagonist as she joins Earth’s Mightiest Heroes: Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Ant-Man in the fight against evil!
A relatively new character, Kamala was introduced to the Marvel Comics Universe in 2013. Ever since Carol Danvers changed her codename to “Captain Marvel”, Kamala assumed the Ms. Marvel moniker and has yet to let it go. An Inhuman (A Marvel Comics race) with stretchy, elastic powers, Kamala hails from New Jersey; she has served as a member of The Champions and The Secret Warriors and is noted as one of the most prominent Muslin characters in superhero comics (along with M and Dust from the X-Men).
The early gameplay trailers show her fighting off soldiers from the terrorist organization A.I.M.
Looks like the developers are vying to show off Marvel characters other than the expected Avengers mainstays. Will there be other playable characters or is Kamala in it for the long haul? Who could be next?
