I can’t believe it’s been three years since our last BlizzCon! Time certainly does fly and a lot has happened both in the gaming industry and the world as a whole. For some, 2023 may seem like last week, for me, it’s since like ages ago. To arrive at the gates of the Anaheim Convention Center was like coming home and when I saw all the familiar faces, banners, and especially the “Legends Return” banner as seen in the pic above, my excitement started to rise.
While there were many cool moments, below are My Top 3 Moments of BlizzCon 2026.
#1 - World of Warcraft: Forever Cinematic and Reveal
While I already shared a bit why I am so stoked to dive into this game, I can’t express how much joy, excitement, and just what a thrill it was to see and feel this announcement. We all knew that some sort of Classic+ had to be revealed but I don’t think anyone was prepared to be “WoW’d” with such an incredible cinematic and gameplay reveal.
Beta is this week. Launch Nov 4th. HOOK IT INTO MY VEINS!
#2 - Shadow Dropping Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom
Maybe I’m crazy but the older the I get, the more I prefer just shadow dropping games or announcing them when they are just a few months out from release. While we did get some announcements for some games that are extremely far out, at this BlizzCon, I got two huge wishes in the first category. Shadow dropping Forsaken Kingdom was perfect and I can’t wait to dive into more.
#3 - The General Vibe and Feel of the Show
BlizzCon 2026 felt different than 2023 in a positive way. The devs were just spot on with their panels, like the one above. The ones I met were friendly and talkative about their projects. I met up with many familiar faces and met some new ones as well. I had some deep and engaging discussion about rumors, past and the bright future ahead. BlizzCon 2026 just felt.. good and I’m embraced every moment. So many cool moments, so many good hands on demos, so many good friends and in that end, that’s what it’s all about.
