My Top 5 Summer Game Fest 2025 Moments

This year marked my first time hitting Summer Game Fest and overall, I had a blast. Let’s highlight a few of my fave moments and most anticipated gaming titles.

1 - That Genius Resident Evil Requiem Troll

In case you missed it, in the middle of the SGF showcase, Capcom gave us a teaser that the next RE game was coming soon but it wasn’t quite the time to show it yet. An audible groan come over the audience where we were sitting. Not only did they redeem themselves moments later, we finished out the SGF showcase with an incredible RE Requiem trailer. It was magic!

2 - Hands On With Crimson Desert

Every time I have a chance to see, play or just absorb anything Crimson Desert in, I’m all for it. The SGF 2025 hands on demo was no exception with the fantastic Pearl Abyss team sitting us down and walking through some amazing new quests and features of their gorgeous engine. This game is looking better and better every time I see it. The graphical fidelity and game engine is second to none. The release can’t come soon enough for this fan!

3 - Hands On With Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

Oh another demo of Wuchang? YES PLEASE. Another game that came out of left field and now is at the top of my hype list especially after playing the latest demo. The graphics, animations, and combat are sublime and the team at 505 Games are some of the best. Fast forward to July so we can all enjoy through suffering with this much anticipated beauty.

4 - Hands On With Pragmata

I wasn’t expecting much when I was escorted into the Capcom hands on area at SGF to try out a demo build but I love being surprised and boy was I ever with a stellar hands on experience with the game. It’s now one of my most anticipated upcoming titles of 2026. I left with a huge smile on my face. Next year is going to be an absolute incredible year for gaming

5 - IOI Showcase With Mads Mikkelsen

IOI + the actual Agent 47 + Mads Mikkelsen = DROOL. With a swanky event in Hollywood, we had an absolute riot seeing the latest and future successes for the IOI team and meeting Mads was just a treat. He’s an absolute gem and was such a good sport throughout all the Q&A and panels. The present for IOI is bright, the future is even brighter.
