Features And Quality
To say the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro is chock full of quality and quality features would be a massive understatement. In a world of cheap knockoffs, corner cutting, and the fact it can be just hard to find gaming accessories that are designed with such precision and detail, it just pushes my love for the Rev 5 even more. Available in gorgeous black or white, not only does it look amazing, but the feel and sturdiness take it to the next level.
Control while gaming just felt right and while I didn’t have to go into the app level of customization, there were plenty of ways and tweaks to make it feel my own. Let’s face it: The DualShock 5 is already a fantastic controller but while the DS5 may feel like driving a Lexus, the Rev 5 Pro is the Ferrari of PS5 controllers. It’s comfortable, sturdy, and just feels right through any game or scenario I threw at it.
Check out a few of the official features:
Magnetic Hall effect technology: the sticks and triggers have greatly increased precision and durability thanks to magnetic technology that eliminates "stick drift"
Trigger Blocker : Adapt to any situation in the game by customizing the amplitude of your triggers
Multipoint wireless connectivity: Connect the controller to your console, then easily and instantly switch between the sound on your console and your audio Bluetooth® peripheral
Full customization: 4 profiles saved per platform, 3 sets of weights, 3 stick sizes, 3 sets of stick heads, 1 external microphone jack and no less than 60 customization options
Application: Customization via the dedicated PC/Mac application (Android and iOS application available in 2024).
Vibration: The controller is equipped with two vibration motors compatible only with PC* and PS4™ games. In PS5® mode, for specific PS5® games that you play on the PS5® console, the controller will not vibrate.
D-pad : In partnership with professional player Mister Crimson, we offer you exceptional control and precision.
Feedback
While I don’t have much in the way of feedback to improve the Rev 5 Pro, I will say there are a few items lacking that bring the score down a touch. While there are more expensive accessories out there, the price can sting a little. Also, not the fault of Nacon but Sony, there is no haptic feedback or adaptive triggers allowed on 3rd party controllers. There is also no vibration. Not a dealbreaker by any means but those need to be mentioned.
Conclusion
I absolutely love the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro controller and it is going to be my go-to PS5 controller for the foreseeable future. Quality, customization, and features are top notch and you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better PS5 controller out there today overall, even with a few features that I’ll miss. If you want a controller that will last you for the life of your PS5, this is the one to get.
