As part of Tekken 7’s upcoming season, several new characters are scheduled to appear in the game including series veterans Anna Williams and Lei Wulong. However, the most unusual new addition to the game will be The Walking Dead’s iconic villain, Negan.
The announcement of new characters was revealed by Tekken’s director Katsuhiro Harada and game designer Michael Murray at the recently concluded EVO 2018 yesterday. The developers teased six new characters including Anna and Lei in a gameplay video and Negan via a character art. The three remaining characters are still unannounced as of now.
Both Anna Williams and Lei have been veterans of the fighting game with the former featured in the original Tekken and the latter joining the roster in Tekken 2. Anna is the sister of another veteran fighter Nina Williams, and also served as the personal bodyguard of Kazuya Mishima. Lei, on the other hand, will return to Tekken 7 complete with his tiger, cane, leopard, snake, and dragon fighting styles.
As of now, Bandai Namco still hasn’t released the specific release date for Tekken 7’s season 2 pass but noted that it would be “coming soon” for the PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One. Negan’s inclusion in the roster of fighters will definitely shake things up in the game. I wonder how his fighting style will be like?
