Lysfanga: The Time Shift Warrior is a new hack-and-slash indie game that just got announced at Summer Game Fest. It is a strategy-focused action hack-and-slash with the key focus of rewinding time to fight enemies. Lysfanga comes to us from new developer Sand Door Studio and publisher Quantic Dream.
The main character, Imë, possesses temporal powers bestowed upon her by the Goddess of Time. With the ability to rewind time in combat, Imë can summon clones of her past selves, creating an army of powerful remnants to aid her in the fight against the escaped demons known as the Raxes. As players progress through ancient cities that were once locked in time, their arsenal of weapons will expand, and new spells will be at their disposal.
In Lysfanga, mastering each arena and surpassing high scores will unlock new rewards, encouraging players to replay and improve their performance. By adjusting difficulty settings and adding combat modifiers, players can tailor each fight to suit their playstyle.
Delve deep into the abandoned cities of the old continent, once time-locked but now in chaos due to the freed Raxes. Investigate the resurgence of these ancient evils and uncover the truth behind their return. Lysfanga started out as a student project back in 2020 and has since grown into a complete and full game after winning the 2020 Grand Jury Prize at ISART Digital and Best Student Video Game at the 2021 Pégases Awards.
Lysfanga: The Time Shift Warrior will arrive sometime in the future on PC via Steam and Epic Game Store.
