It’s been quite some time since the gaming industry saw a major boxing game enter the ring again, but it’s finally happening! With the only notable boxing games of late being the VR Creed: Rise to Glory title, it is about time those of us still playing on standard TVs to have a chance to step into the ring. Steel City Interactive and PLAION are doing just that with their soon-to-release title Undisputed.
This game is looking to pack a punch with stunning visuals, a revolutionary footwork system, and deep strategy. With over 60 different punches, voiceovers from legendary referees and commentators, and support from the world of boxing, Undisputed intends to live up to its name and become the king of boxing titles.
The Early Access launch will feature a roster of over 50 playable characters including Tyson Fury, Canelo Alvarez, Deontay Wilder, Katie Taylor, and a fully-fledged women’s division across six unique fight locations, including a large arena and Coldwell’s gym. Players can enjoy the game offline against friends or AI opponents, or they can go online and compete for a place on the leaderboards. Best of all, you know this will be an authentic experience as the developers are working with the World Boxing Council, the British Boxing Board of Control, Empire, and many more.
Undisputed releases on PC via Steam Early Access on January 31st. Will you be ready to test your skills in the ring by then?
