After grabbing nearly everyone’s attention with their E3 Announcement Trailer, 505 Games decided to end the 2018 year with one more trailer for Control. While they had some awesome, action packed scenes in the original trailer, this one is purely focused on the environment and story that is being told.
Even with the latest trailer, the story still seems to be full of questions. The environment alone is something that is sure to leave anticipating players with multiple questions. It is oddly intriguing and certain to be full of countless opportunities given how they set it up. Take a look at what I mean:
A single building full of so-called “thresholds” that will take you into other dimensions? This is the definition of a science fiction story. But which way are they going to take it? And how far are they willing to go to bring an upsetting, or possibly uplifting, story?
Control still has a lot to show and reveal before they will be able to get everybody on board with such a strange concept, but for story lovers and sci-fi buffs, this could very well be the kind of game we have been waiting to be announced. We already saw that it will have action, which is strange on its own, and now we can see that the environment alone is beyond weird. Lets just hope that keeping it cryptic until 2019 isn’t just a way to build hype.
Still no launch date has been announced, and not even a year given, so we might not see Control released until 2020. At least we know it will be on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Also, we will get to learn more on the game through another trailer or two in the coming year. Are you excited for this incredibly cryptic and strange game?
