Recently, IGN posted a new trailer for the indie game Demon Spore by DinoBoss. In it you can see that there’s been a lot of work on the VFX and creature visuals, not to mention an overhaul in the lighting. With more dynamic lighting in place, it is interesting to see how that will come into play with the game.
It’s already been confirmed that the game features the ability to turn lights on or off during gameplay for certain mechanics. For example, there is a power box that you can open and deactivate, which will turn off the power for the room you’re in. This kills the lights meaning you have to rely only on only your torch to see, but it also disables the security system, allowing you to escape the room if it’s getting overrun by creatures.
The game still has some development to go through before it is finished, but it does get more enticing with every update. There’s still no release date yet, but Demon Spore is planned to launch on PC via Steam. What do you think of the latest gameplay trailer?
