New TTRPG Based On Faith No More Backerkit Ends Soon

Tabletop gaming company Accidental Cyclops Games brought to life a TTRPG based on the band Faith No More, called The Real Thing. After a successful launch they have released the Backerkit for the sequels, Angel Dust and King for a Day. With even more themes and call backs from albums released by Faith No More in the 1990s.

Each of the two books is composed of two parts, the sandbox of rules and the adventure module. The rules section is exactly what it sounds like, this is where you’ll learn about the game’s system, challenges, advancement, and character creation. Each of the two books expanding and widening the possibilities from the first installment, giving the narrator and players more options. The adventure module is where the fun begins. Each book bringing 15-20 hours of playable content with detailed descriptions of places, people, and events.

The Real Thing was about truth, starting with the characters uncovering a mystery and rediscovering who they are. Angel Dust is about trust, building on the journey of self-discovery as the players discover a wider world and help define it. Then King for a Day is about power, introducing a hidden side of the world with unknown supernatural power.

The backerkit for Angel Dust and King for a Day is live now, but act fast because it won’t be soon!
