Niantic has removed the legendary Pokemon that have popped into people's Pokemon Go accounts according to Gamespot. For those that were wondering, yes these legendaries were legit and were obtained without hacks. Now, in the name of "fairness", Niantic has taken those legendaries from players accounts. Their statement explains why...
"We recently noticed that a few Legendary Pokemon got into a few accounts when they shouldn't have...To preserve the game's integrity and as a measure of fairness, we have rectified the situation and revoked the legendary Pokemon from the Trainers' accounts."
Now that I know the Pokemon are indeed legit, I think that's bull s***! The exclusivity of a legendary Pokemon is what will make it legendary! If everyone is able to get one on a designated day what makes it special that I have one?!
Seriously is it fair that I live in an area that has an abundance of Pokemon that you've never so much as seen?! Where do we draw the line here? I'm sure I'm in the minority of the player base who will side with the person who got an Articuno, but seeing as it was obtained without cheating I think it's a real raw deal that it got taken away simply because people griped and complained that it "wasn't fair".
Am I alone on this? I know if I caught a legendary legitimately and had it pulled because of this I would be pissed.
