As if February wasn’t already busy enough, Nintendo has announced that they will be hosting one of their Direct showcases tomorrow, February 9th, 2022. This Direct will focus predominantly on the games the historic video game developer plans on releasing during the first half of 2022.
Nintendo didn’t provide any information on what games they’ll be showing off during the showcase, but there are a few already-announced games that have release dates or windows during the first half of the year. Next month alone Nintendo will release Triangle Strategy, a tactical RPG from Square Enix that will have a branching narrative with impactful choices, and Kirby and the Forgotten Land that sees the titular pink puff on a new adventure in a strange, dilapidate realm.
Beyond March, there are a few other games Nintendo has confirmed to be releasing this year, including the unnamed sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario + Rabbids: Spark of Hope. There’s also the possibility that Nintendo could pull the curtain back on some unannounced titles slated for this year, in addition to new additions to their Nintendo Switch Online service.
The Nintendo Direct will be live-streamed tomorrow, February 9th, 2022, at 2 PM PT/5 PM ET and run for roughly 40 minutes. What games are you hoping to see more of at the Direct? What games would you like to see announced? Let us know in the comments.
