Well here's some news. Nintendo apparently is developing a SNES classic and will be releasing the console for development around holiday of this year. This news comes from Eurogamer, who has had a pretty astounding track record thus far in the past year with correct predictions of the Nintendo Switch specs as well as an exclusive Project Scorpio reveal via Digital Foundry. The news is a bit confusing, of course, as Nintendo very publicly ceased production of the NES classic worldwide despite massive demand for the console. We originally had assumed that Nintendo had ceased production to focus all manpower on the Nintendo Switch, but it appears that assumption is wrong. We'll keep you informed as we know more.
