Official Release For STRAY GODS: THE ROLEPLAYING MUSICAL

A telltale-style RPG with musical elements? The games industry is an amazing place. Humble Games and Summerfall Studios have released Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical for fans to enjoy a story about music, self-discovery, hope, and forging one’s own path. For those still unsure about the game, here’s a quote from the founder and famous narrative designer, David Gaider:

“With Stray Gods, we wanted to try something that has never been done before that would perfectly blend the things, we love most here at Summerfall - compelling storytelling, unique characters, beautiful music, and exciting adventure. That, along with collaboration with some of the best in the industry, we couldn’t be prouder of what we’re bringing to our fans today,” said David Gaider, Creative Director of Summerfall Studios. “We’re excited to take fans on this musical roleplaying journey, and we hope that they’ll fall in love with this and its story that we’ve poured our hearts into, as much as we have.”

The game revolves around Grace, a college dropout who gains the ability of a Muse and must figure out the truth behind her predecessor’s death. Player agency is the name of the game. Players will decide who Grace’s friends, enemies, people she’ll trust, and people she’ll betray are. Grace’s actions are also player determined and play through a completely original soundtrack composed by Grammy-nominated composer Austin Wintory (Journey, Banner Saga), Tripod (musicians Scott Edgar, Steven Gates, and Simon Hall), and Eurovision Australia’s Montaigne (Jess Cerro).

Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical is out now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.
